During a brief meeting with the editor of the Zip Coder at NACC this year, I was asked if I would consider writing a column on the issues concerning the Advanced dancer in square dancing today. Perhaps the Advanced dancer hasn’t received as much attention as they deserve, as they seem to lie in between the higher-level community and the lower-level community.
I hope through addressing some of their questions in this column, I can help “Bridge the Gap” for them.
It has been about 8 years since I regularly wrote for the Zip Coder. The subjects about which I wrote (all 4 couples, as an example) usually dealt with the technical aspect of the dance. Some of those articles will be revisited. However in this column, I would like to address other issues as well, such as:
And other issues that are on your mind: the Advanced Level Dancer.
Although I can’t promise all of the questions I receive will be printed in the next issue of Zip Coder, I will try to answer all of the questions at:

At Zip Coder we thought it might be fun to use email exclusively for this column. So please send all questions to me, Dave Wilson, at zipcoder@davewilson.net.
